Catering + Logistics Crew Member

Catering + Logistics Crew Members are an integral part of the operations team that keeps Bon Me running. They are responsible for the execution of catering events and deliveries, as well as assisting movement of food, supplies and equipment throughout our company, and ultimately, to support the success of all our locations. Every day is different in this multifaceted role, whether it’s helping to prepare a big catering order at our home-base in Roxbury, delivering food and supplies to our restaurants, or running a food-truck at a private party.

What’s the Pay?

Pay starts at $16/hr with regular reviews and raises. Catering orders and events often have tips. Employees who learn to run our food trucks for food-truck catering services make at least $18.50/hr.

who you are:

  • You have a driver’s license and are 18+ years old.
  • Responsible and reliable — you’re on time and take ownership of your work quality.
  • Independent — you enjoy working independently and you can manage your own time to ensure all work is completed.
  • Positive — you treat coworkers and customers with empathy and respect, and can adapt to challenges.
  • Able to work standing up and lift up to 50 pounds.

The Responsibilities:

  • Preparing delivery catering orders at our commissary in Roxbury and delivering them to customers
  • Preparing food in our food trucks onsite at catering events
  • Driving food trucks to and from catering events
  • Assisting in other aspects of food-truck operations, including driving food-trucks to and from regular sites, refueling vehicles, and driving to inspection and repair appointments
  • Assist in packing internal delivery orders at our commissary that are bound for our restaurants and food trucks
  • Proactively communicating when it comes to questions, problems, and ideas to help create a positive team environment by finding solutions to challenges

the details

  • The position is based at our commissary at 148 Hampden Street in Boston
  • Shifts vary depending on the needs of the day, and are usually between 4-8 hours a day. Food-truck catering is seasonal, and during the busy season ( Apr- Oct ) schedules are busier, including nights and weekends.
